Temples of Praise uses dance as an evangelistic tool to minister the Word of God. We believe that spending time with God in daily prayer enables us to draw our inspiration to choreograph and minister pieces that reflect the Holy Spirit. Our weekly devotionals for each age group (children, youth and adults), combined with our curriculum, technique classes and rehearsals, are designed to equip our members, both technically and spiritually, to hone the gifts God has bestowed upon them. We use modern, ballet, jazz, hip-hop and African dance disciplines. However, members are not required to have dance experience. All that is required is a heart-felt desire to worship God through movement!
Temples of Praise also participates in community outreach by ministering at other churches and plans to extend its outreach to senior centers, day care and community centers. We are also planning to teach therapeutic movement. Everyone can do liturgical dance — from the very young to the elderly.
