This fifth trip to Phoenix was a beautiful revelation of what that community has achieved against all the odds. We arrived in New Orleans and were greeted by Rev. Tyronne Edwards, a visionary community builder and Pastor. Rev. Edwards and his wife Gail took us to Lunch at a Cajun Soul Food spot called Dizzy’s. We then went on a tour of the Lower Ninth Ward, a totally devastated community where you only see the concrete steps which lead to houses that no longer exist. We did see several houses...
