This course provides the basic introduction to the study of Christian theology and focuses on the doctrine of God. Explore what we believe about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Trinity and why we believe what we do. Emphasis is placed on Biblical foundations and historical development of each doctrine and its significance for the present time.

Emphasis on health from a faith standpoint is nothing new. The truth is, God wants us to be concerned about our health. We will learn, through an exploration of select features of the Holiness Code in Leviticus, how to wed good science with good spirituality.
The African Presence in the Bible

This class will examine the significance of African lands and peoples in the Bible. Students will also explore the differences between modern and ancient notions of race to help them better understand our faith and scriptures.

Following Jesus isn’t always easy. It involves self-denial and bearing the cross. But, what does this mean for this day and age? This class will explore the issues of suffering and Christian discipleship from an African American female perspective to show how our sisters’ insights and experiences can help our faith walk and study of scripture.

2) Emmanuel Essentials - get the 411 on EBC’s ministry
3) Discovering Your Purpose & Place -identify your spiritual gifts and ministries
4) Managing God’$ Money - explore the connection between faith and finance.

PREMARITAL PLUNGE

Premarital Plunge is a requirement for those who intend to marry at EBC (or be wedded by an EBC minister) and an opportunity for those who simply wish to explore whether or not they have what it takes to go the marital distance. This workshop will explore the God-given meaning and mechanics, (i.e. communication, conflict management, decision making, budgeting, etc.) of marriage. Couple’s Fee: $50.00
